Why Film & TV?
Artistic Director Paul Parker has been writing since he was at High School. Brought up on theatre, naturally Paul initially started writing and producing theatre a long time ago. An avid film and television viewer, Paul is very interested in the creative concepts of film and television making. He is inspired by creative beauty and license and the creative
character decisions that drive a plot forward. Paul’s VAK Learning Style is visual and he is very intrigued by images and graphics; in all the camera shots.
The Early Days
Paul Parker has been in the entertainment Industry since 1977. In that year, Paul got up at a Stand Up comedy venue called Le Joke in the Last Laugh Comedy Theatre Restaurant in Smith Street, Collingwood in Melbourne, Australia and performed some stand-up comedy. Parker won a competition and some money that night towards his development as a Stand Up Comic.
As an actor, Paul has won two awards. One for a performance on stage and one for a performance on screen. Paul has appeared in 33 films (most of them uncredited on IMDB due to them being student or new film maker films), 15 television shows, 35 theatre shows and performed at numerous Stand Up Comedy venues around Melbourne in the late 1970’s 1980’s and 1990’s.
Teaching
A qualified teacher in his 34th year as of 2024, Paul is a profoundly successful International teacher and acting coach. Paul has trained actors who have won awards. Paul has trained and audition prepped USA celebrity actors of the caliber of the following:
Education
Founder and Artistic Director Paul Parker graduated from University in 1991 with a Bachelor in Education in Literature, Language Linguistics and Drama from Deakin University / Victoria College – Rusden, in Melbourne, Australia.
Producing
Player Productions is a film and television production company. Paul Parker is the founder and Artistic Director. Player Productions has entertainment industry contacts and some joint relationships in Australia, USA, England, Japan and China. Player Productions has been producing on and off since 1990. The tempo started to increase in 2017 when we started producing films. We are currently involved in both comedy and drama projects. Player Productions’ aim is to produce content that evokes thought and action in its drama and helps us laugh at ourselves as human beings in its comedy.

Paul has taught Naama in both New York and Los Angeles, dating back to 2004. Naama is a 6 time award winner

Working as an actor Paul has won a Best Actor in an Ensemble Cast for his role in “For the Love of Freedom” with Ben Guillory & Danny Glover’s – Robey Theatre Company in Los Angeles, USA.
